Former England international striker Hwang Eui-jo, 31, who is facing ‘illegal filming’ charges, has left England for the Turkkiye League.
Alanyaşpor announced on its website on June 6 (local time) that it has signed the striker on loan until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
After joining Nottingham from Bordeaux (France) in August 2022 to play in the English Premier League (EPL), Hwang was immediately loaned to Olympiakos (Greece), but failed to make an impact and was loaned to FC Seoul last year.
He returned to Nottingham ahead of the 2023-2024 season, but was unable to compete for a starting spot and was loaned to Championship (2nd Division) side Norwich City in September last year, but returned to Nottingham for the last four months before leaving for the Turkkiye League.
Hwang, who did not even make his debut for Nottingham, will continue his European career in Turkkiye.
His new club, Alanyaşpor, 온라인카지노 is currently in 14th place (6W, 9D, 9L) in the Ligue Supérieure this season.
Hwang said he asked his former national teammate, defender Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), for advice about the league.
“Not recently, but we’ve talked before. He told me it’s a difficult and competitive league.”
Kim Min-jae played for Turkiye Fenerbahçe in the 2021-2022 season before moving to Napoli (Italy) and then to Munich (Germany), where he is now a starting defender.
Meanwhile, Hwang Ui-jo is under investigation for illegally filming a sex scene with his ex-lover.
He was suspended from the national team and did not travel with the team to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup pending the outcome of the investigation.
