Onuaku, who played for DB in the 2019-2020 season

returned to the KBL stage after four seasons.

He graduated from the University of Louisville in the United States and is a talented player who was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 37th overall pick in the 2016 National Basketball Association (NBA) rookie draft.

He played in 40 regular league games for DB in the 2019-2020 season, averaging 14.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocked shots.

With his height of 206cm and athletic ability, he showed a strong side in post play. 

He signed a contract with the same annual salary of $460,000 (608 million won) as Jones.

A Sono official said, “We have a lot of difficulties with rebounding

but we will definitely be able to overcome it through Onuaku.

If we dominate the bottom of the goal through active post play

we expect a synergy effect, such as getting relatively many chances from the outside.”

Onuaku is expected to start playing in the away game against Busan KCC on the 17th.
