Baduk women’s team finals advanced… Confrontation with China over gold on the 3r


The Korean women’s baduk team will advance to the finals of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games team event and compete with China for the gold medal.

Korea, featuring 9th dan Oh Yu-jin, 8th dan Kim Chae-young, and 7th dan Kim Eun-ji, secured the silver medal by defeating Hong Kong 3-0 in the semifinals of the women’s baduk team event held at the Qiyuan Chess Hall in Hangzhou, China on the 2nd.

Korea won comfortably even without ace Choi Jeong, 9th dan.

Kim Eun-ji, 7th dan, defeated Jen Ying, 2nd dan, and Oh Yu-jin, 9th dan, who was the second knight, defeated Ryu Yu-shin, 2nd dan.

Chaeyoung Kim, 8th dan, who competed last, succeeded in beating amateur player Li Guoyi.
