‘Most expensive GK’ talked about as Kim Min-jae backup… Tuchel wants him


Bayern Munich’s goalkeeping targets have been outlined.

“The Bavarians want to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga as Manuel Neuer’s backup,” British outlet CutOffside reported on Tuesday.

Goalkeeping has become an issue for the Bavarians. Neuer is still recovering from the leg injury he suffered last year and will need another eight to 10 weeks to recover.

The backup goalkeeper is also gone. In the meantime, Jan Zomer, who filled Neuer’s void, left Munich for Inter Milan on Aug. 8 for a transfer fee of €8 million.

Munich’s feet are under fire. With no immediate goalkeeper available for the start of the new season, a signing has become imperative.

Kepa has emerged as a leading candidate. According to the report, the Bavarians have already been in contact with Chelsea over the signing of Kepa.

Kepa joined Chelsea in 2018 from Athletic Bilbao for a transfer fee of €80 million, the most ever for a goalkeeper. While 먹튀검증 he hasn’t lived up to his price tag at Chelsea, he’s still considered a top-notch goalkeeper.

A move to Munich cannot be ruled out. With the arrival of Robert Sanchez, Kepa is not guaranteed a starting spot next season. He could be tempted by a move to Munich, where he would be guaranteed a starting role until Neuer returns.
