The LG Twins continued their winning streak. Even Kiwoom Heroes “ace” Ahn Woo-jin couldn’t stop them.
LG won the 11th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against the Kiwoom Heroes 6-3 on Sunday at Jamsil Stadium.
Led by right-hander Lee Jung-yong’s six innings of three-hit, two-strikeout, no-hit ball and a 2-for-5 performance from Park Hae-min, who batted eighth in the lineup, LG won its sixth straight game.

LG lined up with Hong Chang-ki (right field), Moon Sung-joo (left field), Kim Hyun-soo (designated hitter), Austin Dean (first base), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Moon Bo-kyung (third base), Park Dong-won (catcher), Park Hae-min (center field), and Shin Min-jae (second base).

The game lasted until the sixth inning, with both starting pitchers pitching well. They didn’t take a step back.
LG’s Lee Jae-yong got off to a good start, striking out the first batter, Lee Yong-kyu, on a fielder’s choice and retiring Kim Hye-sung on a fly ball to left field and Dawson on a grounder to the pitcher.
Kiwoom starter Ahn Woo-jin gave up a leadoff single to Hong Chang-ki in the bottom of the first, but got Moon Sung-joo to fly out to right field and Kim Hyun-soo to ground out to the first baseman. He allowed Hong Chang-ki to steal second, but with runners on second and third, he got Austin to fly out to center to end the inning.
Kiwoom got its first hit in the third inning. Two batters later, Kim Tae-jin took advantage of Lee Jung-yong’s first pitch and singled up the middle, but he was thwarted by Lee Yong-kyu’s grounder to the catcher.

Lee held Kiwoom to two hits through four innings. In the fifth inning, he gave up a double down the right field line to Lee Ju-hyung, but he got Park Chan-hyuk to ground out to shortstop, Lee Ji-young to fly out to right field, and Kim Tae-jin to ground out to shortstop.
They kept the game scoreless until the sixth inning. They got Lee Yong-kyu to fly out to second, Kim Hye-sung to fly out to left, and Dawson to ground out to second. However, the batters were unable to hit Ahn Woo-jin and the score remained 0-0.

In the seventh inning after Lee, Ham Deok-ju struck out Song Sung-moon and gave up a straight grounder to Lee Won-seok. He then gave up a single to Lee Joo-hyung to put runners on first and second. The lead was about to be lost. Park flied out to center field to put runners on first and third.
After Ham Deok-ju got Lee Ji-young to ground out to the pitcher to get a breather, LG scored in the bottom of the seventh.
The first batter, Oh Ji-hwan, singled to right field. Moon Bo-kyung followed with a single up the middle to put runners on first and third, and Park Dong-won drew a walk to load the bases. Park Hae-min followed with an RBI triple behind the right field line. Ahn Woo-jin eventually gave way to Jang Jae-young.
After Shin Min-jae retired Jang Jae-young on a grounder to the shortstop, Hong Chang-ki batted and Jang Jae-young committed a wild pitch, allowing Park Hae-min to cross the plate from third. The score was 4-0.
LG scored two more valuable runs in the bottom of the eighth. Park Hae-min hit a two-run double to left field with runners on second and third. After the seventh inning, she collected five hits in two innings.
In the top of the ninth, Jung Woo-young gave up a double to Kim Woong-bin. An error by the shortstop put runners on the corners. Kim then got Kim Dong-heon to fly out to right field and gave up an infield single to Kim Tae-jin, which was followed by another shortstop error. LG eventually brought up Go Woo-seok to get Lee Yong-gyu to fly out to right field to preserve the win. 파워볼
