Ice Speed Kim Min-sun Ranked 8th in 1,000m in 4th World Cup…

After switching back to her old skates, “Goddess of Ice” Kim Min-sun (Uijeongbu City Hall) put in a meaningful performance in the women’s 1,000-meter run, which was not her main event.

Kim finished eighth out of 20 competitors in the women’s 1,000 meters with a time of 1:17.60 at the fourth edition of the International Ice Skating Union (ISU) Speedskating World Cup 2023-2024 at the Lodowa Arena in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland, on Tuesday.

It was her second consecutive top-10 finish after finishing seventh at the third edition of the event.

Kim finished 17th in the women’s 1,000-meter run at the first meeting, and after a disappointing 15th-place finish at the second meeting, Kim improved in the third meeting.

She continued her consistent racing with a similar result in the final.

After competing in a new pair of skate boots at the second World Cup this season, Kim switched back to her old boots at the third World Cup after a string of poor results.

The effect was clear. She won two golds and a silver in three races in her main event, the women’s 500 meters, and finished in the top 10 in the women’s 1,000 meters.

On the day, Kim competed against Japan’s Rio Yamada in the Group 6 out-course.

She covered the first 200 meters in 18.15 seconds, eighth overall. He was slightly slower than Yamada.

Kim went through the next 400 meters in a respectable 27.88 seconds, but faded in the final stretch of the race and dropped back.

Yamada’s fall around the final curve also hurt Kim’s time.

Japan’s Miho Takagi won the race in 1:15.28, with USA’s Brittany Boe in second (1:16.20).

After completing the fourth edition of the World Cup, Kim will return home on December 12 and will focus on rest and training for the time being before competing at the ISU Four Continents Championships and the fifth edition of the World Cup in January next year.

Meanwhile, Inahyun (No Won Go), who competed in the same event, finished 17th with a time of 1:18.83.

In the second race of the men’s 500 meters, Cho Sang-hyuk (Sportsoto) finished 10th with a personal best time of 35.23 seconds, while Kim Jun-ho finished 12th with a time of 35.28 seconds. 바카라사이트
