National soccer team holds World Cup qualifier against Singapore in Seoul next month

The national soccer team will play its first 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Singapore at Seoul World Cup Stadium next month.

The Korea Football Association announced that the first leg of the 2026 North and Central America World Cup Asian region second qualifying round match against Singapore will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. on the 16th of next month.

In the second qualifying round of the World Cup, Korea is in Group C along with Singapore, China, and Thailand.

In this second qualifying round, the first and second place winners of the group will advance to the third qualifying round of the World Cup and also earn the right to advance to the Asian Cup finals to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
