KPGA’s ‘2023 Genesis Championship’ opens with 120 players in four days of action


The Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Korean Tour’s ‘2023 Genesis Championship’ kicked off on Wednesday.The Genesis Championship is a four-round, 72-hole stroke play tournament organized by Hyundai Motor’s luxury brand Genesis since 2017 to revitalize golf in Korea.Held under the concept of ‘Challenge for Greatness’, the tournament will be held at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo, Incheon, until the 15th. A field of 120 players, including all past winners, will compete.

The tournament will have the most Genesis Points on the KPGA Korean Tour. Genesis will operate an exclusive lounge at the venue for players and caddies to relax during play, and will provide a tour van for all players and a hotel near the venue.Genesis will also continue its tradition of honoring caddies. We will provide a separate trophy for the winning caddie, a naming service for caddie vests, and a hole-in-one prize for caddies (Genesis GV60).
